Langdon, ND is located in north central North Dakota. We are 17 miles from the Canadian border. Most of the folks who live here are farmers. We are called the Canola capital of North Dakota because the farmers grown a beautiful yellow flowering crop called Canola. Have you ever had food cooked in Canola oil? If you have it may have come from North Dakota. There are three schools in Langdon. We have a private Catholic school with grades K-8, a public elementary with grades K-6 and a public jr/sr high with grades 7-12. The weather gets very cold in ND. Our kids are used to the cold winters. We go out for recess every day unless it is 20 below zero or less.

Write On was originally developed as a student email project by Ann Carnevale in 1998 when she taught second grade in San Antonio, TX. It was revived for Plainville teachers in 2008.
